SMS / Text Messaging Program Terms
These SMS Program Terms (“SMS Terms”) govern your participation in the Road Justice text messaging program operated by GreeningLaw, P.C. (“Road Justice,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By opting in to receive text messages from us, you agree to these SMS Terms. If you do not agree, do not opt in, or reply STOP to end messages.
1. Program Description. The Road Justice SMS program sends text messages to individuals who have affirmatively opted in, including (a) transactional messages related to your inquiry, potential case, or active legal matter — such as appointment reminders, document requests, intake follow-ups, and case status updates — and (b) marketing and promotional messages, such as firm news, legal updates, blog posts, and information about our services.
2. Consent. By checking the SMS opt-in box on our contact or intake form and submitting your mobile phone number, you give Road Justice your prior express written consent to send you text messages at that number, including messages sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or pre-recorded or artificial voice technology. You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number provided and that you are at least 18 years old. Your consent is not a condition of engaging Road Justice for legal services or of any purchase.
3. Message Frequency. Message frequency varies based on the nature and status of your case or inquiry.
4. Message and Data Rates. Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless plan. Contact your carrier for details.
5. Opt-Out (STOP). You may cancel the SMS program at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you send STOP, we will send you a one-time confirmation message, and you will not receive further marketing or promotional messages. If you opt out, we may still send you transactional messages directly related to an active legal matter (for example, court-ordered deadlines or urgent case updates) where permitted by law. To rejoin, you must opt in again through our website or another approved method.
6. Help (HELP). For help, reply HELP to any message, call us at (972) 934-8900, or email [insert Road Justice contact email].
7. Supported Carriers. The Road Justice SMS program is supported on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and other participating carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Carrier availability is subject to change without notice.
8. Delivery and Technical Issues. We cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered to your device. Delivery depends on factors outside our control, including carrier performance, device settings, signal strength, and network conditions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Road Justice and GreeningLaw, P.C. are not liable for any delayed, failed, or misdirected messages.
9. No Attorney-Client Relationship by SMS. Text messaging with Road Justice — including any response to an intake inquiry — does not, by itself, create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only upon execution of a written engagement agreement with GreeningLaw, P.C. Do not send confidential, privileged, time-sensitive, or sensitive information by text message. SMS is not a secure channel, and messages may be intercepted, delayed, or reviewed by third parties. Statutes of limitations and other legal deadlines are not tolled, paused, or extended by sending us a text.
10. No Legal Advice by SMS. Text messages from Road Justice are for general informational and administrative purposes. Nothing we send by text constitutes legal advice, a legal opinion, or a guarantee of any outcome. Every case is different; do not rely on any SMS communication as a substitute for consultation with a licensed attorney.
11. Accuracy of Your Information. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when opting in, and to promptly notify us if your mobile number changes, is reassigned, or is no longer yours. You agree that you are responsible for all messages we send to the number you provided until you properly opt out or notify us of the change.
12. Prohibited Conduct. You agree not to use the Road Justice SMS program to transmit unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or infringing content, or to impersonate another person.
13. Privacy. Your use of the Road Justice SMS program is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and safeguard your information, including your mobile number and opt-in data. We do not share mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
14. Changes to These SMS Terms. We may update these SMS Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued participation in the program after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.
15. Governing Law. These SMS Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any claim or dispute arising out of or relating to these SMS Terms or the Road Justice SMS program shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
16. Attorney Advertising. Road Justice is a service of GreeningLaw, P.C. The content transmitted through our SMS program may constitute attorney advertising under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Robert L. Greening is the attorney responsible for the content of Road Justice communications.
